Yes, I agree Molly and it should be that way. But if I want to see the Australian Zoo and go home afterwards I don't see what harm that is. But someone wanting to live is a different story. But I love where I live I just want to travel. :)

You probably will find it hard but I am sure you will be able to come for a holiday because we are harder on peope who wish to stay and become illegal immigrants as long as you have a return ticket you should be right.
I don't know how rock stars get in but I am hoping that now Paris wont be able to visit again but I doubt it.Good Luck.

I have no idea whether you will be allowed in. What I suggest is that you apply to an Australian Consul or Embassy for a visa, and that you disclose the conviction. You will then know before you leave, and will have the opportunity to ask for a review. If you don't do this and arrive in Australia under the Visa Waiver Programme you may find you are refused entry at the airport, and have to return to the USA. I am assuming that you are from the USA. If your country is not part of the Visa Waiver Programme you will have to apply in advance anyway.

I don't know the exact nature of the felony that you have on your record, but the rule seems to be that if you served more than one year in jail for the charge then you won't be able to enter the country.

I think that the government is able to make exceptions to general rules like that on a case by case basis. Rock stars even get exceptions based on that, or tend to have records with lots of minor charges rather than one big one.

this is genuine. Canada won't permit you in in case you have greater effective than one "minor" crime.you may yet some contries like Canada and uk won't permit you in or in case you sneak in and that they arrive across you you would be "deported"
