How about simply starting the day with a bowl of 100% bran and skim milk? That will do the trick for the rest of the day.

I just made up these cookies and are very yummy and have a lot of fiber.
With all of the healthy foods here sounds like you could use a good dessert as well

I box spice cake mix
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup splenda (or sugar)
2 Tbs flax seed meal
2 Tbs wheat germ
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup applesauce
2 large eggs
1 cup dried mixed fruit (or raisins)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Combine first 5 ingredients
Combine eggs applesauce and oil, add wet to dry stirring well add in dried fruit and vanilla

Drop dough by rounded tablespoons on a cookie sheet lined with parchment
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned near the bottom

Not only are these high in fiber but are also low in fat when replacing half the oil with applesauce and if using splenda are also lower in calories. The best of both worlds!!
These do not last long in my house!

I make what I call a veggie salad which is packed with fiber.

I use two kinds of lettuce, spinach, carrots (shred or sliced), celery, pieces of cauliflour and broccoli, green pepper (or red if on sale), pine nuts (great fiber source), onions (variety scallions, red, white), garbonza beans (chick peas are a great source of fiber), radishes sliced, olives (usually black as good fiber source). I stay away from crutons and cheese.

The size is huge at times, a whole meal to some people.

Other great sources of fiber are bananas, apples and orange juice besides the above listed veggies, all of which you can snack on. A fruit salad is a good source for variety.

Many people think that eating whole grained breads and pasta is better for u. Also look at the cereals you eat like shredded wheat or whole grains which many cereal makers have gone to using.

You don't have to give up much to eat healthy. BTW look up heart healthy diet or ADA diet on Google for way more suggestions.

If you want a quick and easy solution for fiber, just drink up Metamucil twice or three times a day. It lowers your cholesterol and sweeps out the bad stuff in your arteries. You can eat everything else as you normally would. Veggies are always good but take forever to have any noticeable effect. But do eat healthier and have a balance diet. Doctor's order.

Corn gives very good source of fibre. In India we eat foodstuffs out of ragi, jowar and bajra
Herz a recipie for you

Ragi Pathiri

Ingredients:

Ragi 250 gm
Raw rice 250 gm
Refined oil 2 tsp
Grated coconut 1 cup
Salt to taste

Method:-
Clean and soak ragi and rice in water for half an hour. Drain and dry in the sun for three hours. Powder in a mixie or at the flour mill. Roast the fine powder lightly. Cool and keep aside.

Crush coconut and extract 1/2 cup of thick milk and 1-1/2 cup of thin milk. Boil the thin milk with a little salt and oil. While boiling add a cup of ragi, rice flour (from the prepared ragi and rice). Reduce heat. After a few seconds stir till it starts to lump. Remove from fire and cool. Knead till smooth.

Take a small ball of the dough, sprinkle flour and roll out into a thin chappathi (thin as a pappadam). Cut evenly with a round cutter. Finish the remaining dough the same way. Heat a thava. Take a chappathi at a time. Turn it a few times and press lightly with a spatula. When it puffs up, remove. Repeat procedure with all chappathis. Just before you serve, dip in thick coconut milk. Serve with curry of choice.

Note: The same ragi rice flour is used in ragi puttu and ragi dumpling.

what i know about high-fiber recipe is, its depends on the eater itself. Some individual, they have better and higher metabolism, and some individual, they do a hard work that needs them to have more carbs, rather than a fiber. Actually depends on how you live your life style. What you do for your living and how active is your body burning calories from your body.

What is your objective? whether to have a healthy food everyday, or you going to lose some kilos from your body ?

The very best high-fiber stuff for me is a whole-grain bread, if you like to try rice, always choose a brown rice, green vege, kiwi, asparagus, and oats. Cooking style, go for stim, boiling and bbq

Here is my favorite high fiber recipe. This makes enough for four:

Cook 1/2 lb. Lentils according to package directions
Cut 1 Red Pepper in Strips
Chop Six Scallions
Wash 2 Bunches Spinach and Steam lightly
Cook 1 cup of wild rice
1/4 cup really good extra virgin olive oil

Arrange spinach on four plates; scatter red peppers over spinach. Place 1/2 cup lentils in center; put 1/4 cup rice on top of lentils. Scatter 1/4 chopped scallions over all. Drizzle each plate with olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.

Amazingly easy, delicious, low cal, filling and packed with fiber. My teenage son who is a major carnivore is always asking me to make this dish.

Funny something called BEAN CURD (locate at any health food store) will help give get fiber when mixed with tofu (smooched) and cooked with some oil and seasoning WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT. Also oatmeal in the morning is good, a nice bowl of mixed fruit, this may sound funny but nice room temperture water in the morning (Best brand: crystal springs).

WIth fiber, you need to add it gradually otherwise you're going to get...."stuffed up".
Start by having whole wheat breads and pasta and you can add just like a 1/4 cup of Fiber One to breakfast cereals.
Also, by eating more fruits and leafy vegetables you add fiber. Raspberries and Blueberries pack a big fiber punch.
Oh and Dried Fruit is good for that too.

Our whole breakfast is "high fiber", beginning with my 5 fresh fruit salad (contains 2 kinds of berries or more). Then we eat oatmeal with dried raisins and cherries with ground flax seeds and oat bran added OR I make a veggie quiche or fritatta (using egg beaters) and it usually contains broccoli, cauliflower, broccoli-flower, spinach AND red peppers, onions, edamame, peas and mushrooms. There are a lot more veggies in there than egg product. It's a delicious way to get as much fiber and fresh produce into your diet as possible in a delicious way.

I was gonna give you my recipe for 100% whole wheat brownies, but I think you'd rather have lower calorie foods after reading you wanted diet type stuff.
However, these brownies are high fiber and very gooey and moist. Uses unprocessed 100% whole wheat. Downfall is sugar content.
