I have been using my Dad's Answers account and when he went to use it , he was quite surprised by all the activity. After a thorough counseling with my dad I have come to the realization that we are all just human and do the best we can. Today I learned a lot from my Dad about treating others with dignity and respect even if you disagree about religious issues. We are mostly Americans here , but more importantly , we are Gods creation. He commands us to "Love one another", "Love thy neighbor as thyself" and even "Love your enemies".

I do not consider the LDS to be my enemy. I had no intention of ever even getting into this nonsensical jousting with you guys. I just happened upon R+S and became entangled in a series of tit for tat arguing which I have since been counseled on by my Dad.

To all who read this, Please accept my humble apology for any bad vibe that you got from my Questions or Answers.

I hope to have a positive and constructive dialog with you in the future. TM jr

If you guys still need a boogeyman to get you all riled up , take a vote and then dont turn me in to YA or they will start deleting everything. Otherwise lets all be nice. Feel free to post your own questions as responses or whatever. May the Lord richly bless everyone here !

To all who answered here: I think CB ans Buzz make excellent points. CB kinda says that religious issues are near and dear to her and any percieved attack will get a harsh response.
Buzz says that Joseph Smith kinda started it by saying all churches creeds (at the time) were an abomination.

As the LDS move more and more mainstream they are refining their practices as the spirit moves them.

Would it be possible for the church to expunge references to other churches creeds being an abomination?
I think that would go a long way in helping settle the Mormon/Anti-Mormon conflict and bring about healing.
I will ask that as my next question.

I appreciate the apology. I know I've answered some of your questions in a pretty nasty fashion as well.... (one even got deleted... I think I called you out- called you a pansy who couldn't handle those who disagreed, suggested you prove me wrong...)

They say there's two things you shouldn't speak about in polite circles- religion and politics.... I think that it's because those two topics are so important to people- close to their heart. For me, my religion is an intrinsic part of who and what I am, and when I perceive an attack on my beliefs, it's like a personal attack....

I'm glad you had a visit with your dad, he seems like a wise man.

What did Joseph Smith say about the Historical Christian church? (something about their creeds being an abomination) That would be a wonderful place to start if your wish was to come to fruition.

The beauty of life is that God created us mortal and we will some day meet our physical end. Jesus Christ I believe will sit in judgment of those who have forsaken the lord and no secret will be kept from him. Those people will have to give a full account of their actions and everything in their conscience. With the law of love, justice and truth will prevail, and God bless you for shedding light on some of the deceit that is happening in our world today. We are all witnesses and I believe you have done nothing wrong in shedding light into the darkness. Peace be with you. ~Timothy

I liked TAN MANS questions ans answers, for some reason I think this is TAN MANS Dad, the message was too formal and mentioned "Dad" so many times in such a high regard I can't help but wonder.

Mormons have a very different doctrine. It is very easy to get into debates. Debate however is a lot like tic tac toe. Once you learn the basics then it usually becomes a stale mate.

May the Lord richly bless you.

Apology accepted. There was an occasion where Tan Man and I sparred intellectually on this forum, but as the Lord had said, "I will forgive whom I will, but of you it is commanded to forgive all men."

I hold no animosity toward anyone on this forum--even the ones that give me thumbs-downs on my topics of expertise.

"Peace give I unto you." And so do I.

Romans 14:11-12: For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Hebrews 9:27: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Thank you for your apology. It takes courage to stand up and say you are wrong. Since you already know I'm LDS, I don't have to say that the things you were asking and saying were very hurtful to me. The fact that you blocked me from answering any of your questions made it seem like you really didn't care about the truth, or about we really believed. That is why a lot of people got mad at you.

I try to respect others, but when they blatently say things that are mean, it gets me defensive. I try not to be, but hey, we are all human!!! I'll make you a deal: You don't disrespect me, and I won't disrespect you! Sounds fair right? Now lets just forgive everything and get one to having some nice discussions!!

Its hard when Mormons call you names. and are mean yell you for no reason. I have al lot pain. Tan Man you have no reason apologize. I want Mormons to apology to my family. But that's not going to happen.
I will be the better person and also apologize for comments I have made two have no right to say the things I did. Jesus said love your enemies and to turn the another cheek. I love the Mormon people. Just need to understand different views.
Since I left the Mormon church I have nothing but problems from Mormons. I will try to look the another way. because Jesus Christ did it when he died on the cross.
