I had a bit of a bronc infection and now my nose is stuffy but i cough up bright yellow snot! Im not sick though? i don't feel sick?! just stuffy nose and sore chest kinda ? I should go see doc but its not that bad a side from the yellow crap how sick am i ??

If the stuff you cough up is not clear you need to see a doctor, it indicates an infection. Go soon before it turns green or cough up a little blood with it. A fever isn't always an indication of an infection. I had pneumonia twice last year and no fever.

if the stuff is colored it means that there is an infection present. the sore chest says it is moving into the broncial tubes, possibly. A fever may be the next symptom to arrive and then you will definately need antibiotic to hold off either broncitis or possibly pneumonia if you wait long enough. It could also turn into a sinus infection, which is no picnic if you have ever had one. Sounds like it is moving into your chest, though. Go get some meds.

if you have a fever, see the doc, but if not, it is likely just residual phlegm that is finally breaking up so you can cough it out.
