I'm a vegetarian and I don't think the people who are obnoxiously replying with how much they love meat are funny. It wasn't part of the question.

What's the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan?
Vegetarians, or lacto-ovo-vegetarians, do not eat any meat products, but they eat dairy products and eggs. Vegetarians need to know whether a product contains gelatine or other meat-based products. Vegans do not consume any animal products.

I just emailed my friend and lied by telling her that I am a vegan and then when I switched backed to yahoo answers yours was the first question I saw!

I am not, though I did try once to become one, I failed though. Meat is a needed staple in my diet.
