i experience in my chest a hard pounding. almost like when you are extremely frightned. not rapid, no pain, just a hard pounding where i could actually feel the thumping.
my legs also feel very weak, fatigue like symptoms in my thighs. also trembling hands. no numbness, or tingling.

Hi David. Magnesium deficiency can be causing your heart palpitations, fatigue and trembling. Magnesium deficiency is very common because of the high intake of processed foods (processing removes up to 80% of the magnesium, as well as many other minerals and vitamins).

Start by taking a quality multi-vitamin/mineral supplement. Add to this a quality magnesium supplement (such as magnesium citrate or magnesium glycinate). The people at your local health food store can help you choose the right supplements. Avoid the 'junk-food' vitamin supplements such as Centrum and One-A-Day.

If you have access to a Naturopathic Physicain, Chiropractor, Certified Clinical Nutritionist, or that rare medical doctor trained in nutrition, it may be a good idea to have appropriate laboratory testing to determine your actual level of nutrients. Obviously, something is seriously wrong with your body's biochemistry.

Best wishes and good luck.

Could be any number of things. Seems alot like dehydration, sunstroke, heat stroke, or heat exhaustion to me. But then again it could be stress or an anxiety attack.

Or it could be heart problems, sometimes it doesn't matter how old or young you are you can still have some heart trouble. When I was sixteen I was experienced something quite similar, then I got a chest x-ray as part of the process of getting my french citizenship and the radiologist noticed something odd. I got it checked out by a cardiologist, turned out that I was born with a malformed heart, nothing serious I just had one side bigger than the other.

Then I developped some shaking as well which sounds alot liek yours, which the doctor first attributed to stress and then decreed to be Grave's Disease, a thyroidian malfunction which was causing my entire body to accelerate, to shake, to put additional stress on my heart.

My point is it could be anything, could be something, could be nothing, in any case you should have a doctor check you out.

I'm 50, and when that happens my health advisor has me take Ibuprofen (my prescription pain killer won't even work cause it's a different kind of pain) & apply progesterone cream (in a different spot each time) from the health food store once a day until my flow stops. The ibuprofen stops the pain, the progesterone fixes the problem for the next time around, for me at least.
