I became vegan because I saw this documentary called Earthlings by Joaquin Phoenix. I had dreams of eating ice cream and non vegan stuff. I think once had a dream of eating meat. But i got over it. I have been vegan for almost a year and don't have those dreams anymore.

Once in a while I dream I've eaten meat, usually by accident of as a result of someone sneaking it into my food. Usually I feel disgusted & am relieved when I wake up. My SO & some other vegetarians I know also have this sort of dream. This is just a guess, but it might be the unconscious mind reprocessing old data/experiences or exploring unpleasant ideas. I haven't smoked for years but occasionally have a smoking dream too, as does my SO.

I used to get them every so often. Up till now I just realized I haven't had one for a long time.. hope this doesn't bring them back haha. I think it's because I'm so much more knowledgeable and stronger now I don't have as much fear associated with it.
Typically I'd eat something someone made for me or I'd make something then suddenly realize I was vegan...was a crazy sensation that didn't compute which usually woke me up. It was an awesome feeling of relief to realize it was just a nightmare and I hadn't relapsed into my past, perhaps only had a dream resulting from memories of my past.

I've had these dreams multiple times.... I've been a vegetarian for a year now.. and I have had I think around 3. The one I remember most visibly is my brother handing me a sandwich.. me taking a bite and swallowing.. and realizing that it was a turkey sandwich..... I freaked out, woke up, and thought it had really happened and I got a big stomach ache.. but I realized shortly that it was only a dream.

Oh yes. I HATED that dream. In my dream, I walked into a restaurant with some friends and family--I think it was Old Country Buffet or some other buffet--and when I got my food, I didn't realize it until I looked at my plate, but someone put a steak on my plate! I carefully tasted the steak to see what it tasted like--blood. Bleggh. I tried to spit it out but I couldn't! Something invisible was forcing me to eat the steak--I felt its angry, firm little hands on my arms. I woke up after I finished. It was terrible.

Yeah, they're called "meatmares". It just means that you're very aware of what you're eating and not eating meat is important to you. :)
I had one where my friend offered me a can of soup he didn't want the rest of (which was weird because we were at school) and I ate it... Afterwards, I looked at the can, realized it was chicken noodle, and was puking in the bathroom for the rest of the lunch period.

No but when I worked at the grocery store I dreamed about checking groceries every night. It sucked because it was like working overtime and not getting paid.
