This guy says he is HIV negative but that is still bad right? Like when you are tested and you're completely clean you aren't told you're HIV- am I right? Maybe I'm naive but I've never been/needed to be tested so I'm not sure.

IT GOES TO AIDS IN A LONG RUN.

HIV is the virus that causes AIDS. The terminology HIV positive means that the person tested positive for HIV antibodies. This means that they have HIV in their blood. HIV negative, therefore means that when a person was tested, they did not test positive for HIV. This can mean that the person does not have HIV or that the virus has not had a chance to reach a detectable amount. On the converse side, however, a person who has tested positive for HIV will never be considered free from HIV. Their viral load can become undetectable by effective medication management, but they are always capable of passing HIV on to others. Hope this answers your question.

hiv negative means that they are negative of HIV....that is a good thing to an extent. if you have sex w/ someone and then they tell you that they have HIV or AIDS, condoms won't protect you 100% from stds or AIDS. it takes about 28-30 days for the virus to take develop in your system. get tested around a month later. if it comes back negative, get tested again. it could have been a false negative. the same thing goes for a positive result.

Ummmm your REALLY naive...how about you get out more. HIV negative is a GOOD thing. And regardless of whether you've had a test or not you should still know that. And as a little side note, if you're that naive about whats going on, I think you should go get tested for STDs yourself. Because ANYBODY can get it...naive or not

Make him show you the test results, he sounds fishy. HIV negative means at the time of the test he did not have diagnosable symptoms. If you have sex with him always use protection. Again, ask to see his test results. If he doesn't have them, his doctor will give him a duplicate.

if ur clean u are ok but if u wasnt tested n he was n he said he is ok then u should still get tested dont believe him bc he said he is something. get tested to make sure
