I found a bottle of Valtrex prescribed to a girl that I have had unprotected sex with recently. She denies that she has herpes, but I saw a commercial for Valtrex and it was about herpes. She told me she takes it for acne, could that be true?

Valtrex may be the #1 medicine for HERPES...Damn..... However, the main drug in Valtrex is Valacyclovir, and the Valacyclovir is used to treat, herpes, shingles and cold sores.

But that main ingredient can be used for others. Ask her what it is for.

Damn man use a rubber next time.. okay?

More and more herpes sufferers are seeking alternatives to Valtrex and other herpes medications to avoid the many potential side effects or avoid the high cost of daily therapy. Fortunately, there are natural treatment options that can be very effective in reducing the length and severity of outbreaks.
Valtrex is the brand name for a prescription drug called valacyclovir HCl used to treat genital and oral herpes, as well as shingles (herpes zoster). Some people take the medication every single day as part of a daily therapy regimen, which is said to reduce the number of outbreaks and the risk of spreading herpes. Others take Valtrex when breakouts occur for a period of a few days until symptoms disappear.
Non-prescription Valtrex alternatives do exist and can be effective in treating the symptoms of herpes, and many people choose OTC products to avoid adverse reactions from anti-viral medications. Some of the common side effects of valacyclovir are nausea, headaches. vomiting, dizziness and abdominal pain. Other side effects can include hypertension, allergic reactions, seizures, mania, renal failure, visual abnormalities and liver problems.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/herpesTreatments2o15UpJ3

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

Sweetie,I'm sure you've heard this but protection is the best way to go.According to Valtrex's official website, the medication is used to treat and prevent Herpes breakouts. It does not cure it.It is also used to treat cold sores, which are like Herpes, but not caused by an STD.The ONLY other thing Valtrex is used to treat are Shingles,or a chicken-pox like rash. This is not caused by an STD either, but Valtrex is used to treat the symptoms. This information I gathered from their official website. If your girlfriend doesn't have a cold sore or one hell of a rash,I'd get tested really quick and confront her.I couldn't find any site where it was used to treat acne.Hope this helps, and remember the condoms next time! :)
