What would be the commercial value of a novel, patentable synthetic human insulin?

It's already bio-synthetic and patented. We get something novel (a new analogue) every 1-2 years. My guess is the manufacturers are making a killing.

I daresay it will be immeasurable, if it works. It will be like creating a cure for male pattern baldness, or saggy boobs, or eliminating wrinkles.

As far as I know, only natural insulin works.
