i was lying down and reading yesterday when my heart beats faster than normal, and after 1 min, it will return back to normal..then it will start again for 1 min, and then back to normal.. I've had this problem b4 & when i asked a doctor, he said that i was 'excited'. at that time i was walking when it happened and I sure wasnt 'excited' during my walk home from work..i always walk home and it hasnt happened b4... and the way the doc said was as if he didnt care, i felt like smacking his face, coz when i asked him further, its like he didnt know what to answer...
i havent had this problem ever since but started again yesterday...i wanted to see another doc but i'm afraid they'll say the same thing...
any doctors or experienced pple who knows whats happening to me? I appreciate your answers..

I had the same thing happen to me. You did not state your age most doctors will ignore you if you are very young. A irregular heartbeat is a normal thing to happen.
If you are still really worried about it ask for a ekg they can run that in the office and or they can hook you up to a monitor you wear over nite. In the mean time lay off the caffeine. Good luck

If you went to a doctor did he run a EKG? If not, he probably should.
I don't think just speeding up and slowing down is anything serious but do watch it and if it gets worse go back to a doctor.
You know several things can cause your heart to speed up. A little extra carbon dioxide in your blood, your thoughts, walking, exercises.....just watch it. Good luck Pops
