Newspaper sequesters carbon from greenhouse gases.
Store it or put it in a landfill that is dry so that it will not break down.

I use the old newspapers for:
1. Cushioning the fragile things that are kept in the basement or elsewhere. Wrap the object with the newspaper.
2. Use it as matting on any pet cage. By doing this, cleaning your pet cage will be a much easier task.
3. Use it to wrap diapers before deposing of them so that the waste on the diapers won't be exposed while waiting for the garbage truck to collect the garbage.
4. Use the old newspapers for papier-mâché or any art crafts that can be used in any occasions.

1. Recycle, along with cardboard, glass, paper, plastics, used cooking oil, computer parts, telephone directories, ink cartridges, cell phones, aluminum, steel, etc.
2. Newspapers make good 'rags' for cleaning windows with a mix of vinegar and water in a spray bottle (cheaper than Windex, which is pretty much the same thing).
3. Make paper hats for children's birthday parties.
4. Line your bird's cage.
5. Newspaper makes good, cheap insulation.
6. Start a scrapbook using articles from the newspaper.
7. Read the paper; you might find it informative.
8. Did I mention recycling??? -RKO- 06/17/07

The best solution is to find a recycler or paper processor that makes cellulose insulation. In the process newsprint goes through a hammer mill, is aerated and pulverized, with boric acid and borax added to make a fire-retardant, flame resistant loose fill insulation which can be blown into attics or sidewalls of uninsulated homes. It's a marvelous product

If you were conned at home by phone, you might be able to cancel it within 10-30 days by saying you didn't fully understand the terms. It depends on your local jurisdiction.
I agree with many answerers above that paper mache art project is great! You can also add food colorings to make decorative arts, like Japanese handmade papers. I like the ones with embedded dried flowers. You can remake them into birthday cards!
There are many tutorials online. Try MAKE or CRAFT magazine for ideas.

Put white vinegar and water in equal parts in a spray bottle, spray it on a window or mirror, and use the newspaper the wipe it off. Works just as well as Windex without the chemicals.
