So far I have planned on serving the typical diner food (hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, floats, etc.). Decorations will include old 45 records, a juke box, checkered tablecloths, and a 'Soda Shop" backdrop. Everyone is coming dressed in the 50's style. Guests will be people from both my husbands and my jobs. I really want this to be a "WOW" party. Any suggestions

-I know this is a little ambitious but what about mini-meatloaf sandwiches? Just form your meanloaf into a thinner shape and pop it in the over, then make some garlic bread slices, add a little tomato sauce and pop your mealoaf on there...

-deviled eggs (you can put the egg mixture into a ziplock, cut off a small piece of the corner and pipe it into your egg white for a really sassy look!)

You can also go to a local store (or possibly order from "Dylans Candy Bar") and buy tons favorite 50s candy and put them out on the ends of the tables or something

They also sell the glass bottles of Coca Cola which you may want to buy and just use as decorations at the tables or something like that.

This is a great site for 1950's recipes.... after lookign it over (Check out the Shrimp Salad Surprise!), you may want to have 2007 foods and just dress 50's!
