How about one of those cute mini single serving champagne bottles? You can cut out a bow tie on cardstock paper. Write something cute on it like "a toast to the best dads in the world" or "thanks for giving dads a great name".... punch a hole in it and tie it around the bottle. You can also make a custom label really easy on the computer and place it over the bottles label with a special message. You can get the champagne at Cost plus or Beverage Warehouse. Tell them you are looking for the single serving size. They are about 2.50 each. Also another idea is that you can get a small basket and fill the bottom with shred, add 1 mini champagne bottle and 1 champagne glass filled with mixed nuts or chocolates, cover the basket with wrap and tie a ribbon around the top then add a special message.

I am an event planner and we do these for weddings and graduations and people love them! If you have any questions or are interested in hiring me do them for you email me, but you can do it yourself cheaper if you are on a very limited budget! :) Have fun and enjoy your time with your dad!

For New year's last year I made little cards for the 6 couples that we went out with wishing them health, wealth and happiness for the coming year. Inside I tucked a lottery ticket. it would work great for Dads too. You could use little boxes or mini gift bags also .

As a Dad, I can tell you, nothing beats Chicken wings. If you could make a variety of flavor on one plate (like a veggie plate, only different flavors of chicken wings), you will be the queen of the castle.

Yes type up and print a little thing as to why a father is important in one's life, and thanking them for being that kind of father. It is not the gift it is knowing, and being appreciated that we remember most.
