You've become obsessed. You've psyched yourself into thinking this way.

Have you slept? You're still alive, so you obviously can breathe while you sleep.

You might be having a prolonged anxiety attack. You might need some counseling. Perhaps you could talk to your doctor?

Good luck.

Do you have anxiety? Most of breathe incorrectly, but to breathe correctly try this: sit up in a chair...take a breathe in, but look down at your stomach...you want your stomach to rise not your chest....this way your filling up your lungs with air and breathing fully. If it gets more bothersome or lasts for longer than 2 weeks I would talk to your doctor...it may just be a symptom of something else.

This actually happened to me before. I kept thinking about my breathing and I started to breathe unnaturally and I got short of breath and I gave myself a panic attack I guess. I actually kept having it happen for a long time but I finally trained myself to get my mind off it and I never had problems again. When you start doing this, just think about something else immediately and tell yourself its all in your head.
