About ten or twelve years ago my friend Jeff had the honor of being charged the most ever for a beet at a Cubs game. He walked up to the beer counter and ordered a Bass Ail. The people behind the counter started looking at one another as though he had order a ticket on the space shuttle, which he says made him feel very uneasy. Some one finally poured his beer and gave it to him. The server then said, "That's $6.50. Is that ok?" Jeff said sure fine, I know Bass isn't cheap. Then all the servers behind the counter began laughing and said, "Congratulation, you were just bought the most expensive beer ever served at an American ball park."
Also, once I order what were essentially French fries at a five star restaurant and paid something close to $20.

I was once at a business dinner at a pricey steakhouse where two of the people at my table ordered the surf and turf, which was $185. A twice-baked potato was $16. An order of asparagus was $12.
There were six people at the table, and the tab came to almost $1,100. I was absolutely floored because it was more than my monthly mortgage payment at the time. And I was very relieved that I was not paying the bill.

After I was married, I really didn't eat much at the reception, Afterward we stayed at the Garden city hotel, It's a 4 star hotel and we looked the the room service menu, They wanted $45 bucks for a burger or a Ham and cheese sandwich, I wasn't that hungry.

I hared that how much hot dog cost in New York city. In my hometown I know that you can get a hot dog with everything on it from the gas station for 50 cents. The gas station is across the street from the ball park.

a buddy of mine regularly spends 6 dollars per bottle for water at the strip joint. It's not even a fancy brand or in a cool bottle or anything just a regular 500mL bottle(roughly 20 ounces). but he also buys the 4 dollar bags of potato chips there. an old boss of mine was trying to impress everyone when we went to dinner one night and sprang for shots of LouisXIII cognac for everyone $175 plus tax and tip....PER SHOT

Lobster flown in from Maine was pricey - something like $50 per pound, and the average lobster was 2 or more pounds.
But so Delicious!

$5.50 at the theatre for a box of gummi worms.. and when i opened it, it was less than half full, with probably about 12 gummi worms in it. I hate candy like that that looks like alot and then when you open it, it's half full.
