Veganism refers to eating, not about using leather etc. That way even PETA volunteers use cars.
As for pharmaceuticals, capsules and medication made from animal origin needs to be marked, at least in some countries. That way, the consumer has the choice of buying or not.

Yes, but it does not invalidate the rest of thier attempt to be cruetly free.
t'other way around.... If The CEO of MCD eats an apple does that make him a fruitarian ? Probably not.
many vegans will avoid pharmaceuticals and such.
