Good A1C, go on taking care.

Cortisol is a hormone that increases glucose, things that raise it are mental distress and exercise. Your sugar increases because you had exercise and needed extra energy, however, your diabetes impairs it to get into the cells.

hi,
excercise causes the release of the harmones like catecholeamines i.e. adrenaline, glucagon both of which tends to increase the blood sugar levels. but its not worrisome as during excercise the sugar is taken up by the muscles without the help of insulin so u need not increase the dose of exogenous insulin by that. Rather thats why excercise helps in betterregulation of the blood sugar.

Glucose is being sythesized by your liver to meet the demands of your muscles.

To avoid this, try having a small snack before you exercise.
