It is not normal to have black outs.
As izzy mentioned that it might be a symptom of low blood pressure. People having the same, lead a normal life, except for a fatigue which they carry right since morning. Also they have higher life expectancy and are less susceptible for heart diseases.
I too had started feeling something similar a few months back until i started doing some small little Yogas. I used to feel dizzy early morning especially when i got up from sleep or changed position from a long sitting posture. Then i also was getting into kind of depression (or may be depression was because of the low blood pressure).
Whenever you get this black out feeling, you can have one glasses of glucose or ORS or add one teaspoon of sugar and pinch of salt in one glass water. It helps instantly.
Also check out the following for some simple 5-10 minutes exercises that you can do daily:

What i have mentioned above are the home remedies (with no ill effects). It is advisable to visit a doctor to get yourself checked and know the root cause of your problem.
Have a good healthy diet, do the exercises (esp. the ones mentioned in yoga) regularly and you will be fine again without any medicines.
All the best. :)

Postural (orthostatic) hypotension. In some people, blood pressure drops rapidly when standing from a sitting or prone position, causing dizziness, lightheadedness, blurred vision and even fainting. Causes can include dehydration, prolonged bed rest, diabetes, heart problems and excessive heat. Medications like diuretics, beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, ACE inhibitors, antipsychotics, antidepressants and drugs for Parkinson’s disease can also cause this condition. In some cases, sitting for long periods of time with legs crossed or squatting can be the cause.
When to see the doctor -
If you experience any dizziness or lightheadedness, you may want to see your doctor. If you have gotten dehydrated, have low blood sugar or spent too much time in the sun or a hot tub, it's more important how quickly your blood pressure drops than how low it drops. Keep a record of your symptoms and your activities at the time your symptoms occurred.

You have something called orthostatic hypotension, which means your blood pressure drop suddenly when standing up/ from laying down to up right position. This can be serious and you should be checked by a cardiologist because usually it is caused by abnormal of the heart or other diseases like anemia or dehydration. Some medication can also cause it to happen too. You should go make appointment to see your doctor to find out what's the reason.

You have orthrostatic hypotension. Thats why when you stand up you are dizzy and black out. To fix the problem you must set on the side of the bed for a couple of minutes to stabilize your blood pressure. You will find that you will not have this problem again. Orthrostatic hypotension is a sudden drop in blood pressure. Don't make sudden moves. Reposition self slowly, not rapidly.

It is not necessarily normal to have light-headedness when you get up from sitting or lying down. But it's nothing serious most of the time.
When you are in a lying down position, blood pressure is equalized in all parts of your body. When you suddenly get up , the brain gets less of the blood supply, especially when the blood pressure gets lower. This is what we call ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION- meaning this is related to body positions.
My advice is to refrain from sudden standing from a supine position. Take time to sit first, ( to let your body and blood pressure adjust to the shift of position), before finally standing up.
If this persist after the corrective measures, kindly see your doctor. by the way, how old are you? you might have to have your carotid arteries checked if this persists.
