I have 2 groups of friends, one is a smaller, about 12 people group from my church. The other is a larger... eh, maybe 30 people from my school that I go to. I'm already sort of self-conscious of my small home... My birthday is in September, so I am thinking about holding it outside... I don't know whether to invite the other group of people (maybe it'd be too much work???), from church, they are really extremely my friends.... but I'm worried. I already have trouble keeping 15 girls entertained. And I don't know how well the 2 groups would clash together... Please help. Thank you

PS Possible ideas are:

-breakfast party (still w/ cake!!!) BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO... IDEAS NEEDED!!!
-pink and black/80's party (every one wears 80's attire, inc. hair, have choc. cupcakes w/ pink frosting, pink lemonade in black cups, streamers, etc, etc) NEED ACTIVITIES
-wig party (every one wears a wig.. awards..NEED MORE IDEAS!)

THANKS!!!!

You should invite all your friends. Chances are, they'll all get along great. The pink and black 80's party sounds awesome. Maybe get online and see if you can learn some dance moves from that decade. Then, teach everybody, and just have a fun time dancing.

42 people is a pretty big party, but I definitely think you should invite everyone. The more the merrier. It's always interesting when you get friends together who know you but don't know each other.

I think a breakfast party is a fantastic idea. Is there a park nearby where you can reserve a pavilion with picnic tables? You could have a "garden breakfast" theme. Encourage your guests to come in their favorite garden hat and tell them there will be prizes for the most original.

This summer, go to yard sales and search for old table linens or sheets (they don't have to match, just be in complimentary colors) and for tea pots and cups that you can use for centerpieces. (Pick up some inexpensive flowers at the grocery store the day of the party.)

You could make a couple of breakfast casseroles (they're easy to make ahead), a fruit salad, and make or buy muffins or croissants. Serve some kind of tasty breakfast punch and coffee (if you drink it). Have the cake for dessert.

If you have or can borrow a couple of crock pots, you could also serve these tasty breakfast potatoes:

Have fun planning your party. You'll have a great time no matter what theme you choose!

Oohhh! Invite everyone - that's what makes a party fun, is getting different people together! If you enjoy them all, they will surely, for the most part, enjoy each other! It is always nice to meet new people, and many don't get the opportunity very often!
If you hold it more as an open house party...make it for an open period of time...people will flow in and out, and it is a little less stressful! I love the pink and black theme...do the invites that way, and ask that everyone wear the colors somehow.
I think Guesstures is a great party game - you can play it in larger groups, and it gets everyone involved! (it's like playing charades on speed!)

Could you go to a restaurant or something for your party? Then you wouldn't need to worry about the work of cleaning up, what the weather will be, etc.

I like the 80s idea! Fun!

The girls might not all love each other, but maybe they will make new friends! And if not, then the two groups will each have their buddies there too. It will be fun, don't worry :-)

Happy birthday!!!

If you don't want any hurt feelings, invite all or have 2 parties. I think you would be surprised how well your 2 groups of friends will get along. They all like you, don't they? If you are embarrassed about your home, then you shouldn't even be expecting your parents to have a party for you. I wouldn't let my parents see this question, if I were you. You probably wouldn't be getting any kind of party!

you can always just have 2 parties. one for you church friends and one for you school friends. OR
this is what i would do:
-invite my closest friends from both groups
-instead of having a party at your house maybe you could go to an amusment park. (have the kids bring their own money to get into the park. or just have them pay half and you parents pay the rest)
-or you could go to a Paradise Park, or have a very small hotel party at a cheap hotel, lazer tagging (if your into that stuff), go to the movies, something outside of your house or yard.

it seems like you have a lot of friends, ask your parents how many kids you can have over

You could do a wild and wacky party theme!
Everyone could clash thier clothes to make a wild new outfit! you guys could paint each others faces and do each others hair really wacky! You and your mom could spend the day before making food with different colored food colorings!
