If you have to rely on a technicality to declare yourself a virgin, then you have missed the whole point of virginity.

Societies developed the concept of virginity as a way to keep people from engaging in unacceptable behavior. Under that framework, it's unlikely that the people who created the idea of virginity would approave of pre-marital or extramarital sexual activity in general.

That means the people who really care about the true meaning of virginity would not approve of oral sex, anal sex or coitus before marriage. Besides, should a girl who has let 30 guys stick it in her pooper be considered purer or or more virginal than a girl who had lost her virginity to her fiancé before the wedding?

Here's an idea: Accept that you are a sexual being. And be responsible for your sexual behavior by engaging in safer sex, always being honest your partners, and getting regular STD tests and checkups.

ADEENDUM FOR AMELIA: Despite our differences, I always knew we could find common ground somewhere.

Gumdrop has answered this well but I would add that what does it matter if one is a virgin or not?

Sex is a very wonderful part of life and to abstain based on some absurd puritan idea that is is something to be saved like wine or brandy is insane.

Sex does not get better with time. Sadly the reverse is true.

How about oral? Have you done oral?

Why would you do anal? If you have not done it yet, it is not natural and it hurts like hell, if it is your first time or the guy got a pencil size.

Best suggestion, don't do it at all if you care about your or other virginity.
