It's perfectly healed. Ive had it pierced for about 6 months. a few nights ago, the ball fell off, so I took the bar out ..
I think it healed over a bit so i thought **** ... I couldn't fit my silver one in there, only my original one - the one the piercer supplied me with so it could heal.
Today it's still very sore, and slighty Gooey.
what should I do? I bathed it last night, but I don't know what else to do. It hasn't hurt this much since it was healing in January.

x thanks, lucy x

keep your initial jewellery in, the one you were pierced with, bathe 3-4 times a day with a soloution of half tsp ROCK salt dissolved in half pint boiling water, allow it to cool, bathe and pat dry, this will heal your piercing.keep soloution for 24 hours then make fresh

You damaged it by forcing jewelry back in. Piercings close up incredibly quickly, and over night is more than long enough for it to start shrinking/closing. It usually takes about a year before you can leave jewelry out for more than a few mins.

Keep doing sea salt soaks 2-3 times per day, make sure that you always have jewelry in. Leave your current jewelry in for at least 6 weeks to give it a chance to heal. It's going to be sore for a few weeks, just like when you first had it done.

If you lose a bead in the future, don't remove the jewelry. Keep it in (or use another piece) until you can replace the bead. Beads have standard threading (either internal or external), so all 14 ga internally threaded beads fit on all 14 ga internally threaded jewelry. Make sure you tighten your jewelry regularly so you don't lose them (I tighten mine at night as I'm getting ready for bed - it's just part of my nightly routine now)

which piercing?!

if the bar falls out, it will generally irritate it to put another one ine, especially if time's passed - some piercings start to heal up very quickly without jewellery. keep it clean, do salt water soaks, and it should start to reheal - if the pain and redness lasts more than a few days, check it with your piercer

Go to where you got it pierced and have them look at it. It might be infected. Or the goo, might just be the dead skin cells coming out because you had to basically force it back in. That may also be why it is sore. But I would definitely go to where you had it pierced and have them check it out ASAP.

Try an antibiotic ointment, and watch it very carefully. An infection could be dangerous - so if it gets worse go see a doctor, or do you have a school nurse? Did you sterilize the bar before you put it back? if you did, maybe the skin is just irritated.
