Wasn't Jesus supposed to return in his disciples' lifetimes? Either someone's been collecting Social Security for a loooong time, or he's a mite late.

We, His Children are already alive in His Holy Son, Jesus Christ. The physical life is nothing to be concerned about. Some of us will be alive as His Church will have witnessing to do in the last days of this earth. I can only pray and hope that I am allowed to enter the eternal home of heaven, and only Christ can make that decision. I just do the best I can.

You'll have to read it to find out whether its from an atheist or not - duh
"chrisitans"????
Every generation of christians (and probably chrisitans as well for all I know) have expected the imminent return of Jesus yet none of them have ever been prepared to hand over all their worldly goods to the poor so they can enjoy their last few days before the end of the world. So I issue you a challenge:-
If your faith is so strong that the end of the world is about to happen and that you'll be transported direct to heaven then I challenge you to give away all your possessions, dress yourself as Jesus would have done and wait on the nearest hillside or in your church for him to turn up.
[PS he's 2,000 years late already so take some sandwiches and a flask of coffee - it may take a while]

No because if you study the bible and see the prophecy that has to take place before then I don't think he will come back in my life (I'm 20). The anti-Christ has to return, sign a treaty and make peace around the world and with Israel for 7 years then has to break that treaty. Accordingly the bible talks about a 200 million man army which the earth cannot exactly get that much anytime soon, but no one for sure knows the time =)
God Bless

I would like it to be in my lifetime. If it is then I will be alive, if after then I will be alive. Either way we will be alive. Don't forget the bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. So, I don't know if I would rather be seeing my body coming out of the grave up to me, or seeing my corruptible change in the twinkling of an eye.. either way it is going to be awesome

None of us really know. We might already be in heaven when that happens.
We need to repent and pray.
Always do good works. Do charity.. Pray for the souls in purgatory.. Do corpral works of mercy, visit the sick, visit the prison, feed the hungry, give water for those who thirst, shelter the homeless, clothe the naked... Visit an orphanage... Pray the Rosary... Share the good news... And always accept that we are all brothers and sisters.
To be a good Christian is to follow the best example - Mother Mary. She is the greatest example of a good Christian.
We are just pilgrims in this world.

I think that it will be in my lifetime, yes. I think I will live to see the day He comes back. Whether I will be ready is a separate thing altogether. I know there are some things in my life that need straightening out before He comes back. I just pray there's time.

As bad as this world is,it is still not as bad as satan would have it to be.Sometimes I think it will surely be today. But when I look at all of the lost,I say please Lord wait just a little longer. I am ready to go or ready to stay.

I'm not an atheist.
Please look up "Council of Nicea", 325 A.D. Then tell me if you think Jesus is going to come back.
By the way, refusing to read someone else's views is a guaranteed way to stay ignorant and not learn something - very unwise - God doesn't want you to be ignorant.
And to "J", above: China has a 200 million man/woman army. Maybe you should start to worry? I won't because whatever happens is whatever happens - it might be awful and it might be great.
