OK - as for your clothes, wear nice slacks or a skirt (that hits at or below the knee), a nice blouse (not low cut or revealing), and appropriate shoes. Your makeup should be fairly conservative & jewelry minimal.

You may not realize this, but there's a good chance that the person interviewing you is nervous too. So, before you walk in - take a deep breath, hold it for a second or two, and then slowly let it out. You've made it to the interview so there had to be something about you that interested them. They'll ask you questions about your experience, background, etc. - answer them as fully as you can but don't give rambling answers.

Usually, when I go to an interview, I carry a portfolio with me that has some copies of my resume, business cards, pen, & paper. As I sit down, I ask the interviewer if they would like a copy of my resume. This lets them know that I'm prepared & gives me a reason to get out the pen & paper. Take some notes during the interview...shows that you're interested.

Best of luck to you & I hope it goes well!!!

Always present at a job interview in nice clothing. Slacks or a skirt and a blouse if possible. Never wear jeans to an interview. It's okay to be nervous, but don't fidget. Pay attention to the questions being asked and don't be afraid to ask questions about the place you are interviewing with. Also it's good to find out a few things about the business before hand if you can. And most of all, after the interview, remember to send a thank you card to your interviewer for seeing you. If you don't get the job this time, that will stick in their mind and they will remember you next time.

1. Dress in a manner that shows respect for the interviewer. For a kitchen job, you may not have to dress like you would for church, but cutoff jeans, flip flops, and yesterdays tee shirt won't get it.

2. Ask questions. If you don't, it shows you aren't interested.
