Perhaps one where intelligent people can form and express opinions based on facts and not extreme hate of America? Yahoo answers definitely is not what I'm looking for. In case you haven't figured it out, this is a rhetorical question.

Yes, try http://www.foolmoon.com

It's forums for intelligent adults. They have many topics, but there are six political forums, depending on the subject. They also have live chat events nearly every night. It's by far the best I've seen out there. Bring your facts and be ready to defend your point though, there are some very educated people in this forum.

If someone posts the answer here, you know the forum will go downhill pretty fast.

Sometimes I think that BOTH major parties and most activist groups have gotten together and hired a bunch of morons to sit in a boiler room somewhere in DC or maybe California and do nothing but spew hate and nonsense.

As long as these types keep filling up the public forums with their bull, the parties and activist groups will stay in business, because intelligent discussion is stunted and nothing gets accomplished.

I wish I knew who to call for one of these jobs. I need the money.

Comments can be posted at the end of many Washington Post articles, and of course, you can read through the comments of others. It's nearly as interactive as the Answers format, except that the comments are intelligent and everyone is on the same page, so to speak, discussing the particular article or its issues. Between 11 and 1 EST reporters go on line for one hour question and answer sessions on very current topics. If that's an inconvenient time, readers can submit questions in advance, or read transcripts of past discussions.

Of course not, or else they wouldn't be here in yahoo answers, wish I knew of something myself, I am also weary of the same old childish crap. I used to enjoy yahoo politics chat until they eneded that. I wish they would bring back the discussion feature after the news features, I guess too many Bush haters were in there threatening our president and the secret service or something must have asked them to shut it down. Only reason I can think of that yahoo would have taken it down.

Yahoo Answers have intelligent participants but there are users that do not observe the rules. You just have to report them for abuses to prevent hatred.

There are no such things anymore.

Sorry to say.

If you could find a moderated discussion board.

That is your only hope.

That way the moderator would have the power to keep the extremist out.
