You can divide off with a folding screen (make one with fabric you like, buy one with fabric or one of the ones they make now where you can change up the pictures in it.)

Or hang curtains from the ceiling and just make it look like a closet. A tension rod works fine if the room is small enough, Ikea sells a "zipline" type wire that you can put small rings over, or just hang a curtain rod with pretty ribbon and cup hooks.

The table thing can work but then you have to move the covers everytime you do wash so personally I would hang curtains about 3-5 feet in front of them (if you have the space) so you can "shut the door" on your laundry.

Have you considered hanging a very long bamboo shade from the ceiling and placing a nice (easily moved!) reading chair and table in front? You could also hand a painting in front of the bamboo so the bamboo actually looks like a wall...

You could use a chinese screen that stands in front of it

Put a bookcase on caster wheels. Place this in front of the machines. Place nice objects and a few books on the shelves. Roll it away when you need the machines.

Take a tension rod and hang drapes or fabric above it.

Or

To be creative (depending on the distance between the walls) you could take an inexpensive roller shade, cover it with a fabric you like and then pull it down when not in use.

Or

Use a decorative screen

Or

Put hooks in the ceiling and take chain and attach the decorative plastic panels (you find as light covers). You can even decorate them yourself and then you have art!

no but it is a novelty..like a conversation object that would interest an overnite guest?? " Isn't that interesting.. a laundry in the bedroom." :-) Just be careful how much suds you use cause these machines don't know when to quit making suds and the next thing the whole bedroom floor is laundry bubbles. Not much worse than that probably.

I wish mine was in my bedroom, I hate dragging laundry down two flights of stairs to do it. Try either a folding screen or if its recessed a little put curtians in front of it.

Build a wooden unit around it with some doors then you can use the top like a table.

I suggest one of those room divider things that folds. They make really cute ones or even ones you can put photos in. My friend uses one to hide some filing cabinets in her room.
