Why don't you get a french dictionary and you will be able to recognize which words are similar to English. There are too many to list.

that would be approximately one third of English vocabulary, especially words related to the court manors or chivalry.. French was introduced during the Normanic conquest of Britain as a new language of the rulers. because of this the original Anglo-saxon language with remnants of Latin-Gaelic mix was left to name crops, animals etc.

ALL THE ENGLISH WORDS THAT END WITH -tion ARE THE SAME IN FRENCH,like for example: information, collaboration ........etc
