It could come from boredom or just being extremely relaxed. But I would refer to it as "spacing out" or "day dreaming".

Earnest, I often ask myself, can the majority of Americans really have liberal views, such as give in to our enemies, or have discussions with terrorist , (Syria, Iran). Do the majority of Americans really want to give the Government more of their pay check (Higher taxes). Are Americans really ready for a socialist Country. It is hard to see through the propaganda that the media is putting out there, But I think your question is right on, and the conservatives and even some moderate Democrats will wake up and stop the madness engulfing our nation, and put the media and press back in their rightful place, which is to factually report news and events, Not to manipulate information to advance their own agenda......

I do that too. Mostly after just waking up or during the night when I wake up. There is a psychological / scientific term for it. I'll get back to you on it...
Here you go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dreaming

I discovered these terms while researching my own experiences. I thought I was seeing ghosts and apparitions. Then I thought I might just be crazy. Now I understand it is a combination of the three: Hypnagogia, Paranormals and Psychosis! (Kidding!)

I believe people that are consciously able to manipulate their dream states are highly creative and intelligent individuals. This is a gift that you can pursue.

If its day dreaming....that's normal imaginations and running away to more interesting and challenging thoughts. Its like when engaging in imaginative play as a kid. If its flashbacks and hallucinations it can be a sign of Schizophrenia or delirium disorders. But hey.... don't worry its definitely not the case. Just see whatever your day dreams or conscious dreams are in control and are basically day dreams which everyone gets....

enjoy the day dreaming....it's normal

Well you could be dissoiclating, or you could have tempo lopob sezieres which are kind of like that. Also you could just be drifting off, for some reason, trying to find some peace of mind.

Your description is similar to "Lucid dreaming" and "hallucinating".
Take your pick from the results of googling 'Lucid Dreaming'
Hope this helps
