When you eat ice cream out of a cup or glass and some of the melted stuff is left after you've finished, do you let it be or slurp it up in a straw? Personally, I find it disgusting. I can't stand it when someone slurps up the milky remains at the bottom of the cup or glass.

yeah, I know ice cream is a milky liquid state to begin with until it's frozen. I'm talking about the part where it melts again.

Atlanta, GA: We're not talking about noodles or eating etiquette in Asia or America or whatever. If you don't get it, move on.

I wouldn't go so far as to get a straw and suck up the residue, especially in a restaurant. However, if my ice cream gets a bit melty, I enjoy scooping it up with my sppon and eating it like a soup. Yummy!

We do not live in Japan, In Germany it's considered a compliment to the cook if you let out a big juicy burp after the meal...before leaving the table. We don't accept that here, do we? Proper etiquette would dictate that slurping is indeed not acceptable. I am a total ice cream nut (Breyers natural vanilla). I will not slurp, it's just plain offensive. Like the TV commercial where the guy turns his flex-straw upside down and slurps out the glass, the other guy at the table (if it were me) would just slap a turd right out of that idiot, right where he sits. More acceptable alternatives are to make a milk shake, and drink it out. Even better, make a malted. They are equally delicious.

The flavor will in all probability be a similar however the feel ought to finally end up being complicated and icy. when you consider that Ice Cream is churned including air to it, consequently giving it a intense-high quality comfortable texture, whilst it melts and then refreezes it loses an excellent style of that air. even regardless of the undeniable fact that, there is desire. once you're ice cream is complicated and gummy and nasty, permit it soften thoroughly. Then stress it to take out any complicated gummy freezer burnt chunks. you additionally can stress it if there is any chunks of further stuff, like cookie bits or chocolate chips. Then pour that right into a house ice cream maker and re-churn it. whilst it somewhat is totally almost completed upload the cookie bits or chocolate chips back into it (no longer that gummy freezer burnt bits regardless of the undeniable fact that needless to say ;-) ) Then it will be almost good as new.

well i dont exactly like it when the milky remains get melted again and then you drink/eat it. i think it tastes different. but if you drink/eat the milky remains right after you eat the ice cream its no different and i dont think there is a problem. its just ice cream in liquid form.

It depends on what culture you are in. In America it is rude to slurp soup and suck up noodles. But in Japan it is perfectly acceptable.
Don't be so judgemental...

Then you can't stand me. I like to melt part of my ice cream and devour it slurpiness. The same I do with chocolate, I like how they melt on my fingers and lick em clean...
Maybe they're just my hidden desires for something else... hahaha...

I used to mix my icecream round-and-round with a spoon in my bowl until it nearly melted and then eat it so to each his own!
