Those religions who treated god as a good king caring and loving his subjects/believers... could not solve the mystery of sufferings and pains... even to the believers
So they invented Satan or Evil as a short cut to solve this mystery
Hinduism does not believe in Satan...or any such entity who allures us to sin.
As per hinduism... we are developing towards divinity and our ego does certain things which are evil for others....and thus makes bad karma and later suffers for it.
The whole world is a manifestation of Adi Shakti (eternral Energy) who divides herself into positive and negative forces, which struggle to cancel each other and sustain.
This world is manifestation due to this struggle..and when this struggle ends, the universe will end too.
Now Positive forces are not good and negative forces are not bad....evil is a relative term and has no absolute meaning as such
Everything is created by god... it is our mind which sees something as evil or good.

I am not going to get any thumbs up for my answer but maybe someone will understant.
Good and evil is created by God. Like Positive and negitive, you cant have one without the other. if you read spiritual books they talk about this a lot.
A simple way of looking at it is that:
God is an energy
energy is positive and negitive
therefore whatever God creates has to equall out and be negitive and positive.
what everyones answer is that Man is evil or creates it. But Man also creates Good. Than How can you explain that?
And IF Good Is in all of us, equally, then God is evil and good...
You guys what to discuss this, i am starting a new question for it.

I have always wondered about that question myself...whether or not God created evil...
Why does god do more killing in the bible than the devil himself? Why are women made out the to be evil, when men are the most violent creatures on earth? Why is the bible used so much to control people? Why did is cause people to burn innocents alive? Burn books with valuable knowledge? The crusades?
Sometimes...our god sounds just like the wrathful gods of the greeks & romans.

God created everything. Though He can do no evil. When God (also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu,etc.) kills He gives liberation, when He so called steals (Krishna stealing butter from the Gopies) He can not steal because He owns everything. Everything in this world is a perverted reflection of the Absolute world. So in some way it exists in God but not perverted or in a negative way. Read Bhagavad Gita As it is BY BHaktivedanta Prabhupada tell the facts.

There is no evil proposed by God. If it were so the animals would also have indulged in that. The evils relate to human beings only. Just like the good deeds.
There comes the understanding of the preciousness of the human body. Anything that we do, howsoever good it may seem to be, if it is without being absorbed in the thoughts of God or His saints, is evil only. It can be in varying degrees, like helping a person in need is better than torturing a person. But the thought of presence of God everywhere is essential for us to remain without evil.
So evil is by the man, of the man and for the man. So we are worst than animals in a way, rather in many ways.

God creates all things, He created Satan also and he is evil.
But without both good and evil there can not be free choice.
Free choice is the freedom God gives us and he will not take that away! Satan was once an angel but made the choice to go against God so he was cast out of Heaven.
You can never understand true love without hate, You will never really understand and appreciate good health if you have never felt bad and you can't understand how great and good God is without evil. but is is always your choice the path you want to take.

There is only One Creator. In man's nature to judge everything, he labels some of the Creators creations as good, created by God, and some of the Creators creations as bad or evil and created by the Devil. In the final analysis there is only One Creator and only one creation. One is the cause, the other is the effect.

We may believe in GOD, We may not believe in GOD but we all Know what is good and what is bad. All goods things are ascribed to GOD and all bad things are ascribed to Satanic force. So it is very evident that for a believer it is imaginable that god can do any evil thing because if GO)D can not be segregated from all evil deeds the basis of all the existng religion will crumble down.

Evil is not God's creation but I think HE is very much concerned about it in that there should not be any evil in this world if there is to be none in the next.
