I asked myself that same question a couple of years back. Maybe it's because you see the innosence of animals as opposed to humans?
When my dog died I was devastated. But when my grandfather died, I was sad but not
gutted like I was when I lost my dog, who was my best friend and great companion. My grandfather, on the other hand, was a cruel, ruthless and violent man. None of our family missed him.
I felt guilty for being more upset about losing an animal rather than a human, but then realised the animal made my life much happier than the human ever did.

Maybe it's because animals tend to be more easy to be with and shows more affection rather than a human. An animal will treat you with respect if you would just even pat them in the head, whereas humans are too demanding at times. Or perhaps the animal is just really fluffy and cute and an angel and it makes you sad to see such a muffin leave.

Animals dont ever cause us offense, we can argue with humans and society today is one where humans are the main protagonist for suffering, pain and destruction, animals however are more simple- what you see is what you get, animals don't set out to be cruel, they do what they need in order to survive, and it is a quality we do not poccess. We do however recognise and like this quality so when animal dies it is more of a loss.

There is a theory that suggests humans feel more sympathy towards an animal dieing than a human due to the animal being unable to help themselves. Humans sub-conciously believe we are the most dominant species, therefore we pitty others of a supposedly lesser species to ours.

Because you see in animals what you'd like to see in humans and are just disappointed with people. Nothing wrong with that. I feel the same way alot.

Dear Greeny,
i think that if they are your pet-- you grow as attached to them as your family member.
i think when i had a family member die it took some time for it to sink in. Pets are with us everyday, whereas maybe a human isn't.
Thankfully or hopefully your experience is limited. The saddes death i've experienced was to my cocker spaniel many years ago. But i imagine when someone from my immediate family passes away- that will be more upsetting.
Kindly,
Nickster

i understand the sensation! You particularly many times get extra sympathy and undivided interest from animals. many people have mentioned that i'm getting on extra valuable with animals than people! in basic terms be sure you hold the steadiness desirable, undergo in concepts that animals can not somewhat supply advice or strategies.

Animals are generally safer than humans. They tend to do pretty much what we expect them to. People are more likely to disappoint and let us down. Fear of rejection might be a factor.

Maybe you view the pets as innocent and pure creatures that are helpless like a baby.
Many adults are more heartbroken by news of a small child dying than a close adult relative.

Because we are so used to hearing about humans dying everyday on the radio and the news. We become so immune to it that we hardly pay it any attention.
