They all have their pros and cons.
Pros
Marine Corp: Hardcore, badasses who get the ladies, pride and brotherhood.
Air Force: Standard of living, works more like a civilian job, feels like family, good post-military jobs.
Navy: Travel, good jobs post-military, camaraderie, Naval tradition.
Army: Don't know any pros for the army except if you like Iraq boy howdy are you in luck!!!
Cons
Marines: Hardcore too hardcore. They see a lot of combat. They eat babies and kittens. Second-hand equipment: MARINE stands for My *ss Rides on Navy Equipment
Air Force: Seen as a lesser military branch.
Navy: Stuck on a boat for six months
Army: If you don't like Iraq is your life going to suck (hope that doesn't scare you too much)
I feel I should mention I've been in the Air Force for four years.
Hope that helped
Good luck and God bless

When I was a freshman I made the decision to join the military, it took a year of researching and asking questions, I picked the Army. Now I'm a Junior in my 2nd year of ROTC.
My advice would be to do this..
#1) Make absolutely sure the military is the right move for you at this stage in your life, and be willing to accept the numerous sacrifices and dangers that you will face.
#2) Find out exactly what you want to do in the military as an occupation, or at least have a pretty good idea. Then take every thing else into consideration including long term career goals, where you would like to or wouldn't mind being deployed, and of course personal preferences and tolerances regarding your standard of living.
I think that is the best way to find out which branch may be the best fit since each branch conducts business differently and in often unique enviorments.
#3) Again make sure the military is the right move for you and join for the right reasons. Look at the pay scales, your not going to get rich, (a modest and comfortable salary, yea) and I can assure you that even as a college student in training, the lifestyle is serious business and demands way more then you will ever receive in return.
Good luck.

it depends on what fits you career wise if you want to join the military to spring loaded your career pick the branch that can help you there its not about the gadgets or like that. If you are interested in aviation field go join the airforce the army has aviation but not as in deep with the airfoce. But if you are like into infantry or other ground units join the army. Decide what you want before you join once you sign their is no turning back so think about what you really want and what may benefit you if you decide to stay or leave.

it all depends on what you want your quality of life to be. i am in ther air force. the quality of life is i think the best but there are its downsides. i have cousins in the army and the marines. if you want to do something highspeed, the airforce only has a few options. while those options are bad ***. so if your in it for the guts and want to do some crazy **** then yea go for the army. my cuz is 101st and he loves the hell out of it. if you want something more thechnical then i would suggest the air force. at no time should you ever consider the navy, that **** sucks ;)

The Air Force if you want faster promotions, and a job that you can actually use in the civilian world when you're done. They also have better training in better schools, and a better quality of life in general.
