Lets face it. Our concept of right and wrong are influenced by religion. What's right to a Christian can be wrong to a Muslim and vice versa. What and who then dictates our action as right or wrong?

Hmmm, wonder if it'll make difference at all?

After all, they could both be wrong, isn't it?

Cheers!

Yes, man can, but only for a short time. Think about it, if the true God never existed, then if I kill someone right now, I don't think so it'll bother me. Sure, maybe for a while my conscience may shake me but I'll eventually end up killing someone again, since there will be no point of living. I mean I'll be reasoning out to myself that eventually man will die and disappear and so it's pretty much good to kill for money or other material wealth. Or what about those people who were born with defects, what will happen to them if there wasn't an afterlife? Does it mean that their lives really made no sense in the first place? Because if there is no God then there really is no justice. I can steal, destroy, do drugs or whatever I feel like doing and not feel regretful because life just won't add up. If I choose to love, the outcome is still the same, the person I'll love will die and be no more forever. But all these horrible things won't happen because there is a God and I believe in Him and He gives life so abundantly that it transforms even the most horrifying persons. The Muslims have concepts of right and wrong that are true, but not all. I believe that the Bible is God's Word and will shed light on what's right or wrong.

The think that people, for instance children acquire a sense of right and wrong without the use of a God Concept. It's religion that screws everything up. If there really was an almighty man living in a cloud, would he allow the religions to run amok with such a difference in beliefs regarding God?

Actually the Buddhist religion doesn't have a god. Also some religions believe in concepts such as kharma which basically goes that actions in this life determine your future life. Wicca an earthbased religion uses the 3 X rule which basically goes that everything you do will return to you as either 3 times as good or 3 times as evil.

I think when you take religions away, the Truth is what is left inside us. And that is where God lives and works. Religion has proved itself worthless in the running of our lives and our world. When we connect to the Source we find our way through.

Define good... Good in terms of what most of the world sees it as can be done through our own inbuilt emotions of love and empathy. Right or wrong also can be seen from our feelings of empathy and love. Right and good is that which is not hurting another (including God if you believe in him). So thibgs ike lust may be seen to not hurt anyone and therefore be ok, but it hurts God so its wrong.

Maybe YOUR concept of right and wrong is "influenced by religion" - mine is influenced by common sense - stealing is wrong because it hurts somebody, murder is wrong because it hurts somebody, adultery is wrong because it hurts somebody - morality does NOT require religion - that is an outdated concept.

Right or wrong is dictated by our laws and environment.
It is influenced by religion because of rewards and punishment.

Of course NOT...
All previous answers say that the control of right and wrong is only our SENCE... So, Who created that sence in YOU?!!
Who created that spirit??
Think Twice,...you will find it...
