This is not a proper way to test your phone, because you will not know if the audio "problems' are with your phone, the line, or the recorder itself !

Give your phone to a friend and let him call you in his phone or another phone .
Actually, using the same receiver phone:
a) Test the quality of another phone - use this as a baseline
b) Test the quality with your phone
