People say god can do anything because he's god, that means?

that god could have pretended that life started with him, when in fact another god in a parallel universe created him and told him to say that. You can harp on about the bible saying that before him there was no life (yawn) but he could easily have lied as part of his plan. After all, he can do anything, can't he?

Who even cares?
What is is and we will never know what is and any book written here on earth is certainly not proof of the ultimate questions that you and I are wondering

Since you used the Bible in asking your question let me also answer you using the same book as a reference.

First of all, it is not true that God can do anything or should we say everything. There are things that the God being taught by Bible cannot do. Examples are stated in Hebrew 6-:18 "God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged."
and Titus 1:2 "a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,"

By human law it is a slander in form to praise someone who doesn't deserve it. Same as with God. If you do not know Him that well, do not put him in a level that He doesn't want to be.

yes God can do all things! nothine is impossible! But to understand correctly you must also know God is just and righteous. He is not a man that He should lie.
numbers23:19 God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

Its impossible to think like God so you should stop trying the impossible.

Obviously you don't know God. God is holy. God does not, cannot, will not ever lie. You have Him confused with Satan, the father of lies. God can not lie, because God can not go against His Very nature. Jesus said "I Am the Way, The Truth, and The Life, no one comes to the Father but by me." Jesus is the son of God and part of the Trinity of God, Jesus said he is the "Truth" therefore God can not lie.
