Now that he knows that Jr is replacing him will he act like his brother did before he changed teams? I know that he wanted out for reasons that I dont know for sure, but will this effect his way of racing for the rest of the season?

Kyle Busch will do exactly what he has done all year: compete and win races. Even though its a lame duck situation, Kyle knows that he has a championship caliber team that is capable of going the distance. He will likely stay in the car and win a few more races.

I think one of the main reasons why Kyle Busch is leaving is because of the pecking order at Hendrick. I mean, obviously, Gordon and Johnson are the numbers 1 & 2 drivers. That meant that Kyle was 3rd at best. He didn't like that. Plus, with Kyle's talent, he is getting A TON of really good looking offers from other teams, where he could be top dog. I think a combination of these things lead to Kyle asking to be let out of his contract.

Unless Rick Hendrick does something immeadily, knowing that Kyle Busch would intentionally tank the season just to get back at Hendrick, and make things harder for Dale Jr. by trying everything possible to keep the car out of the Top 35, he will be nothing more than a lame duck in the 5 car for the rest of the year.

But Rick Hendrick is a smart owner. Im sure if Kyle started any funny business, Rick will kick Kyle out immeaditly, and find someone who will race for him until Dale Jr. comes over next year.

The one thing with Kyle is you know you're going to get hard racing out of him every week. With him you just hope it's not TOO hard. He won't race any differently now that the announcement has been made. He has a competitive spirit and he still wants to win the championship, let alone as many races as he can in the 5 car. He is still auditioning for some high profile ride and he certainly isn't going to be backing off any.

I'm a HUGE Kyle Busch fan. I got into NASCAR when he was a rookie, and seeing the #5 and watching him race actually made racing exciting for me, so I adopted him as my favorite driver.
I hope he wins the championship. If you are going on the mathematical standpoint, the cards are in his favor. His 1st year he finished #20, last year he finished #10, and this year, if my math is correct, he should win it all!

But as far as his future is concerned, I hope he either goes to Gibbs, Ginn-- they already use HMS motors, or he goes to DEI. I pray to God that he never steps foot in a Toyota, and I think Hendrick made a bad choice in switching out a new upcoming driver for a sub par at best driver. Sure, everyone loves Jr., but there's better talent out there, and I believe Kyle is more talented than Jr.

As of right now, all I know about Kyle is that he will race with Hendrick in the #5 car the remainder of the year and probably hit a few more walls along the way. And as for his plans next year, I guess when he makes that decision, it will be announced on tv, most likely during race weekend.

Well here is a big theory. What about going and driving the the Number 45 Dodge of Petty's. Since Kyle Petty is tiring to get out of racing and would be if his son Adam was still alive. And being that the number 45 will be in the top 35 in owner points next year that would be a good start.

He acts like his brother now.Kyle and Kurt both have talent, theres no denying that. But their folks must have subscribed to the Dr. Spock theory of discipline. But I dont see Kyle changing anything,he drives with reckless abandon and either hits everything but the pace car or finshes well. He's from Vegas and when he straps in,it's always going to be a crapshoot.

He wanted out and he's getting out. He'll race the same as he's always raced, I'm sure. Who knows... maybe he'll sign with DEI and then Rick and Teresa can swap cars - the 8 for the 5.

truly he hasn't had that great of a season especially in the busch series. it won't change his driving but he had better learn how to behave if he expects to land a good ride next year

He will race and he will win, just don't buy his initial statement .Poor guy was just trying to save face. I will admit I never liked him or never thought he was "cool' until he won Phoenix and stuck up for his Brother , Yes I used to "hate" Kurt Busch" .....You know what I'm not gonna explain why i like them now ...I just do
