No. Is the father participating in the birth process? Does he acknowledge the child. If he refuses to participate and/or doesn't willingly acknowledge the child, you have full control over everything and he will still have to pay child support. Even if he participates in everything, you are the one who controls what goes on the birth certificate.

No. You don't need anyone's permission to name the child. And that goes for married couples too. Of course if you're married you'd most likely talk together about naming the baby. However as a single mother, they come into your room, ask you what you want to name the baby, ask you for spelling, and that's it. No permission from baby's dad needed. Good Luck!

no. you dont need his permission. I am a legally single mom and, although we agreed on a name for our daughter, no one ever asked for his consent :)

ABSOLUTLY . you carry the child you give birth to the child... ONLY YOU have a right to name them what ever you want !!! an so you should.
