I say global wars in the short-term, global warming in the long-term. But later in the future, global warming will contribute to global wars because of disputes over water.

Global warming is alreaqdy having an impact on the planet - you can see and feel it every day.

Practically everything Humans do in the world has an impact on the planet, and global wars - indeed, fighting of any kind contributes however minutely.

Ever seen a tank exploding in a war moive such as "Saving Private Ryan"? The same contributes to the ozone for all props and effects used in movies.

I think they contribute to each other. Global warming by itself could lead to the demise of humanity over a long period of time, but as humans we have away of adapting to changing conditions and overcoming new challenges. However when a commodity is lessened, say land, there tends to be more hostility, which can lead to wars. On a global level I don’t know, I think a lot would have to happen to throw the world into that chaos. Although with the MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) programs still running in most countries that have a nuclear armament it could be a possibility. Although one concern that seems to be affecting humanity as much as war or global warming is the amour on incurable disease such as cancer and AIDS. Maybe Mother Nature has decided that its time to rid the pests from the earth.

Global wars are minute in comparison to Global Warming.

A one degree rise in ocean temperature represents the power of 1.3 billion one megaton atomic bombs. That has already happened and the temperature rise is projected to rise 3-5 degrees in the next 50-100 years.

That is an atomic bomb for every man, woman and child on the planet.

Am I afraid of a global war? Heck no! They don't have that many bombs and a reduction in human population would be good for the planet.

i think global warming will impact mankind more, but slowly..
as bad as it may sound we could use a little global war, our planet is too populated with peole. we kill animals and insects when there over populated. why not the same to us. im sure our government has thought of this already. maybe even planning it.

They are equal in partial devastation of mankind. War has been going on since the beginning of time as we know it, just as global warming may have, and will continue to flood the world and possibly change the air we breath, evolution will possibly keep a life form going. Now a huge meteor could have quite an impact.

I think Global warming will impact us in the future (25 + years), but the Global wars are impacting us now.

Perhaps the only contribution in conjuntion comes from the war, in the sense that the war planes, missals, bombs, etc. are contributing to further destroy the ozone layer.

The next Global War will likely be because of Global Warming (though indirect such as a shortage of fresh water).
