You are legally waiting for citizenship and you are welcome here.
Immigration is not the problem.
There is a distinction between immigrants and illegal aliens.
An immigrant is a person who has legally applied to enter and live in a different nation from his birth nation.
An illegal alien is a person who unlawfully enters a different nation without permission.
If someone from Cambodia entered the Phillipines without permission he would be an illegal alien and not entitled to any rights or benefits of Phillipine citizenship.
Americans accept and welcome immigrants who come here, adapt to and contribute to our society.
We do not accept that anyone who enters our country illegally is entitled to our rights and the resources of our nation and it's economy.
We do not accept that illegal aliens can enter our country and then say we are here and we're staying and you can't stop us.
We are offended by this outrage to our sovereignty.
I hope this helps you understand.

Have you checked out The Immigration website for information?
The site may help you a lot. It will list everything, including what requirements you need to immigrate. You may also find a way to help your family get there quicker. I believe one way is to have someone to sign a paper that says that they will take responsibility for the person/people immigrating. Also it may speed things up if you had a permanent address.
I don't know too much about the process, but I'm sure that the following site may help you a lot.

http://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/
The United States Immigration Support Website

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Well , I know it's sad that some come here illegally while others has to wait. I know its unfair that some people have an ewasier time getting to America, because of where our border is located. I understand you want tob e close to your family, but for our higher standard of living, we must regulate how many come in. If we let in people because they merely related to someone already here, soon everyone would be here. To be fair to those who work and put mone into our social programs, we can't accept people who come here and automatically take from these programs. We need to make sure those who come here can self support themselves.

Why are some of you people so rude to someone who is trying to participate in a discussion and perhaps do not know english well but are trying at least?

I am going to take a guess but the person asking the question is just trying to understand the immigration issue better and about what people think about it.

Weve got illegals and liberals and God less and the list goes on and on! We need to get back to basics and get on with morality and maybe something good might happen!
