It simply means titles, of positions held. For example I am father, son, husband but let one man. No where does it indicate they are three separate persons. To believe in a trinity is to admit your belief is in Idolatry Isaiah 44: 8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it ? Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God
beside me; I know not any. This proves that only one God and his name is Jesus.

I believe the popular translation is slightly off. I think the trinity talks about the components to life on Earth. I think the father represents the creative force in the universe (often called God), the son is the physical incarnation (our bodies, really)and the holy spirit is our own piece of that force (often called the soul).

Christianity has never said that Jesus is God. Jesus is the son of God according the christianity, but in my opinion, more acurately translated as each of us, a beloved child of the ultimate creative force.

Peace!

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one God. Genesis 1 God said let US create man in OUR image. Genesis 2 shows that Adam was formed from the dust (flesh) and God breathed life into him (spirit) and he became a living soul. We are created in God's image with more than one part also having an eternal spirit and are yet one man.

Is there any limit of biblical/Christian absurdity.
‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded form the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’

I think your question is a very good question. It doesn't bother me one bit that you answered it like you dif. You are absolutely correct. Father, Son and Holy Ghost are just titles. Amen brother!! The word trinity is not in the Bible.

Yup, good analogy. Just imagine this:

1) You raise you child perfectly. Your wife then says you are good which your reply is "Why you call me good? Only the father of your child is good?"

2) Your child ask you when his mom is coming home. Can you reply that you, the father of the child doesn't know and only the husband of your wife knows the answer?

Just face it, God is not the Lord Jesus Christ, but the Lord of Jesus Christ.

If people would believe scripture verses dogma, there would be no problem. I will demonstrate, letting scripture itself speak, before I say anything.

Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

(this one is in my profile)

Christ states in many places that he is NOT god. (for instance: Mat 19:17)

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Almost every book in the NT points out the difference, and in many it can be seen in the opening statements. However, if people would listen to Christ himself, then only John 20:17 would be necessary, as OUR GOD is CHRISTS GOD, by Christ's own words....... Or how about these.......

Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Anyone whom has seriously researched the trinity, knows that it wasn't adopted as doctrine until the council of Nicea, LONG after the death of both Christ and his apostles.

Concerning the holy spirit, examine these verses, and see if the matter is clear cut.

Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Joh 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
Joh 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

I could literally write a booklet on this subject, but will not, as the evidence provided should be more than sufficient to demonstrate the point. Understand that these views in no manner deny either OT prophecy nor NT teachings. They do however contradict current teaching.

What is the actual problem inherent in the trinity?

As a Christian, you are to profess that Christ is the son of god, and was raised on the third day. Trinity teaches you to profess Christ AS god, and not the son of god....... problem?

It is the title of Lord Jesus Christ. Lord = Father, Jesus = Son, and Holy Ghost = Christ.

Good analogy as to why the trinity is not polytheism.

However, what you started does not "prove that [there is] only one God and his name is Jesus."
