i have an avi file that i used with Nero to create a DVD. when it came out, i played it and the audio would not match the speaker.

1: what's wrong?
2: can i convert formats using Nero?
3: what would YOU do?

please answer.

( i don't really want to use a different program that's "free to convert" because it has all that watermarks and stuff, which i don't like)

any help is much appreciated. thank you.

Things like that does happen.

Does the audio lags from the video or the other way around?

Nero is not yet a sophisticated software. Some formats can't be converted by nero.

You probably need another software that converts video formats to dvd format.

You have to try other softwares?

Actually Nero should work , but if you do not find the solution with Nero, I recommend you to use AVS Video Converter from AVS Video Tools http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/avs-video-tools.htm

It is very simple with this tool

- download, install and run the program
- open a file or file you want to burn
- click “To DVD” button
- click “Convert Now”

After conversion is finished, it will ask you to insert a blank DVD.

I think that AVS Video Converter is the best. It supports virtually all video formats and has built-in DVD, VCD burning engine.

Read step by step guide here: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/guides/avs/burn-video-files-to-DVD.htm

I had a similar problem onn some projects, and I now often convert to DVD coded MPG in "Movie Edit Pro" before the final burn to DVD, however with Nero Vision, I had no problems, it was in DVD Movire Factory I had audio visual synch loss.

Movie Edit Pro 12 allows full process from AVI to DVD, and you get download a demo from www.magix.net

Might be worth a loko, althougjh I think some features are turned off till it's registered.
