I'm 36weeks preggers, and think I might have a problem with my siatic nerve (exuse spelling). When I stand and rest one foot i get a sharp pain in my lower back on the side that is resting, I cant roll over in bed and when I sit down sometimes i'm in too much pain to get up, I feel like I'm parayalized a bit as well.

What causes it and how do I fix it?

Your growing baby is pushing on the sciatic nerve most likely. Your growing uterus is making room and crowding everything else out of the way. Let your OB doctor know what is going on. He may be offer some advice. You're almost there, just 4 more weeks. If this continues to be bothersome, or if your problem gets worse, especially the feeling of paralysis, the doc may decide the baby needs to come a little early. Good luck to you. And Congratulations!

As the baby grows it begins to push on the sciatic nerve. Keep trying to change positions. Use ice or heat to the area. Call your DR if it becomes unbearble.
