..responsible for for much of the world peace issues today..?

Looking around the globe, such ignorant fundementalist views are behind so much of the conflict we see today, and throughout history..

The thousands of innocents killed, injured or displaced in the name of the god that apparently selectively "blesses America" , or the "god given Jewish state" are undeniable. The innocent people killed in the name of Allah were also victims of fundamentalist views..

What makes christian fundies and creationists any different..?
And when will this sort of secular ignorance and denial be globally accepted as the destructive and divisive mindset that it so clearly is..?

After all, peace on Earth depends on it, don't you think..?

Peace on earth depends on love, which is the core tenet of Chrisitanity.

How is your mindset... the belief that the fundamentalist mindset and views are responsible for thousand of innocents being killed... any different from theirs? It is just as biased and antagonistic. Religion is not the only cause for which people have died. People will always disagree with just about anything.

Well, the problem is that people don't always use their heads and actually think about some things. Like how there are people who think that the earth and subsequently the solar system is only about 10,000 years old tops. But if when looking at evidence in the Bible, the Earth was already around before God really did anything specific with it, and that leads me and others to believe that the solar system, and pretty much everything has been around for a while. And who's to say that God didn't create the laws of physics and such that ended up bringing about the solar system, and Earth had perfect placement in the Sun because of his design with the laws of physics and stuff. We really can't say. I apologize for the ramble, that kind of thing bugs me a little, but basically what i'm saying is that there are people who take the Bible too literally and at the same time don't take it literally enough.

yes, peace on earth depends on it.

there is no difference between the two fundies except one hides behind diplomacy and "civilized" ideas but, I'm afraid a self fullfilling prophecy has already been set into action....

if enough people believe in something it will eventually come true..... in some sense

regardless if religious beliefs were out of the way, you would still have to factor other human weakness' that are and would be exploited......Greed, pride, ego, sex, race

I'm not trying to say there is no hope, just very little the way the general blob mass is moving!!!

If you are correct, then what is the solution?
Should we just kill all the "fundies" and creationists?
Let's make them the scapegoats for all of mankind's problems. When they are all gone, the few remaining people on the planet can finally live in peace.
They better not have any problems then, cause who will be left to blame.

PS: Be patient and wait for it because the book of Revelation foretells that your type will do just that - turn against all religion.

No, I think it is from hatred from whatever source, such as when you repeatedly refer to other people you disagree with as "ignorant" . Your argument is the same one Hitler used before the "Krystal Nacht". Try clearing the mote from your own eye before you dash out the eye of your bretheren.

While your premise is essentially correct, it is a logical fallacy to associate creationism with fundamentalism - those are too completely different concepts that just happen to coincide in some groups.

I think that the greatest causes that get people killed today are GREED and desire for power. Not because the person believes in Creation or not.

this could be your adventure with creationists. notwithstanding, maximum that i understand merely attempt to illustrate the limitations of technology in its application to origins, particularly with regard to the muse of existence. This necessitates a language in line with scientific terminology and language. however the ingredient is that the scientific approach can't be utilized to explaining the muse of the universe. it particularly is a philosophical question, no longer a scientific one. the two evolution and smart layout, in the event that they're to examine, could desire to study in philosophy classification, no longer technology classification. BTW, merely putting forward something would not make it so. Your assessment of the credentials of the evolutionary argument and the smart layout argument is your OPINION, which in my view, is predicated in lack of know-how of the data to hand. in reaction on your addendum, you shouldn't be acquainted with the scientific approach, it particularly is the definition of authentic technology--hypothesis, experimentation/commentary, and conclusions/revisions to hypothesis. this means that technology demands "testability". This, by capacity of definition, can't word to events that are theoried to have befell billions of years in the past. Your definition of "technology" is consumer-friendly in that many have faith that it is the consensus INTERPRETATION of archives by capacity of scientists which defines fact. in fact, this represents purely consensus opinion, no longer observable fact. i do no longer dispute that maximum scientists declare to have faith in evolution, notwithstanding this is no longer because of the fact this interpretation has been suggested and examined, this is because of the fact of their presuppositions (examine, bias) that they convey to the translation of the data. there is not any one that would not deliver presuppositions or bias to the translation of archives. BTW, the 1st social gathering to motel to call-calling in a debate is generally the guy who's actually "pathetic", when you consider that they could desire to depend upon emotion to make their ingredient instead of based upon the balance of their argument.
