A & E, The Biography Channel, and the History Channel are all owned by the same company. They all share documentaries and show specials from each other's networks on them. The Biography Channel actually evolved from A & E's successful TV series Biography.

No. "A & E"- stands for Arts & Entertainment. The Biography Channel is totally different.

No. Not on my cable line up. They are two different channels, but I think they are put out by the same company. I think A&E made the Biography channel.

No. They show "Biography" on A&E, but I guess since they have so many they decided to have a spin-off channel. It's most likely owned by the same people.
