There's this girl and I really like her. At school I have to act a certain way so I can keep my friends, but it's not me. That's all she sees of me and It's not something that I'm proud of having to act like. The "real me" is just really quiet, subdued, not a jerk off *** hole etc. So how can i show her the "real me"?

Sorry to disappoint you, but if you show her what you say is the "real you", she will lose interest in you.

There is no such thing as "the real me". Even if you act up around your friends, that's "you with your mates". That's the real you in a particular context.

I think you may benefit from subscribing to an electronic magazine about dating I know of. I wish I had had this when I was in high school. It's an eye opener from a male perspective.

just start talking to her more and try not to act so dumb all the time. You know ask just start asking her personal questions not to personal but questions that ur clown actin friends wouldnt ask then after you get her talkin just be like well yea we need to get out or do something you seem pretty cool wanna go get something to eat or to the movies today you know just somethin like that and when you get used to her let her know that ur not a complete *** and that the way you are with your friends isnt the only side to you and that if she spent more time with you she would see just how cool of a person you really are (and u know this was the best answer someones has ever wrote u lol...) but yea do all that it WILL work...!!!!

Why are you behaving like this? Isn't is hard on you to be somebody instead of yourself everyday? Not tired?

Sounds like you are one those who lacks of self confidence and that is why you acted that way. Be yourself!! This is important.

Maybe it is about time you leave your regular group of friends and look around for others. Maybe for a start they will jeer at you, but don't take it to your heart because yu should know what you want in life... You cannot be acting all your whole life through..

Good luck.

The only way that she will be able to see the "real you" is to be in a situation where the reall you can shine. Do you have other friends that you can be yourself around? If you do then invite her and a couple of her friends to hang out with you while you're with them. When you get comfortable then you can really show her who you are what you're about. Good luck!

If you have to change who you are to keep the friends that you have, then it's obvious you haven't done a good job of selecting them.

Be yourself all the time, every hour, every day. If it isn't too late for her to notice, then she will. Subdued, eh? Use a dictionary, mate, because that was completely out of context .

Be direct. Get her away from all of your friends and tell her you like her. AND STOP ACTING LIKE A JERK TO IMPRESS PEOPLE!!!! You win more real friends by being friendly. (and it ought to impress her.)
