In the case of MCA in Madurai Kamaraj University, I would say it is not very good. This is bacause, I read from the new Indian Express that, the MKU has met with lot of unaccounted expenditure to the tune of 10 to 20 crores in the MCA department alone. That is why I'm afraid I can not suggest you to pursue for MCA in correspondence under MKU.(hope guys don't get angry on me but my statement is true because, I have read it about one and half years back!) Instead you would as well do a course in Master of Financial Management which too has a great demand in the job market.

MCA of IGNOU has contact programmes in their various regional centres and affiliates.MCA being an application oriented programme ,recruitment agencies and MNCs prefer class room /industry related programmes. There is good supply of industry trained or IIT trained MCAs and there is not much demand for correspondence course MCAs.Such courses are useful as additional qualifications or for employed.
As regards international opportunities ,they value more of experiance and ability and not much on how you obtained degree(regular or correspondence)
