he is a humper. One of the reasons I've always liked cats better than dogs is because they don't hump so why is it that I have to get the cat that humps? He does it when he's kneading the blankets before settling to sleep. I realize he's just feeling really happy, but does he have to be THAT happy? We can't stand it. Does anyone have any ideas how to discourage that behaviour? Thanks.

haha this brings back memories. My one and only cat love that passed away 2 years ago did this from the day I got him until the day he died, and he was 19 and neutered! So good luck about him growing out of it. My family called him retarded but... Some cats are weird.

Does he have a certain blanket that he likes? If so, donate that one blanket for him and wash it weekly! =^..^=

Or you could get him a female :)

My cat (one of the five) does the same thing and its usually how they feel like they are getting relaxed. u may want to consider seeing it as "cute" because when they are imitating when they were kittens and nursing.

I sometimes find it annoying, but cute!

Its probably a subconcious stigma from having named your cat "pickle butt"!
