Headlight Problems on a 97 Dodge Ram 1500?

Ok, I'm having problems with my headlights on my 97 Dodge Ram, When I pull the lever out, only the parking lights go on, but when I put on the brights, they work fine.... Can someone please tell me the problem?

Either low beam is burned out on both lights, or the dimmer switch is defective.

2nd Gen Dodge trucks also have problems with the headlight switches burning out. But I would check the Bulbs the connections and then the dimmer switch first.
