Seedhead89, you're absolutely RIGHT.
But so? What can you do about it? You're out numbered.
Do you think the catholics will allow you to pluck out their religion right from under their feet based on what you say or would they start scavenging for justifications for the Pope's existence?

>>he claims he is Christ's representative on earth, but that is what the Holy Spirit is! he cannot take place of the Holy Spirit according the the Bible!<<
He doesn't claim to take the place of the Holy Spirit. He is the successor of the Apostle Peter (the Apostles had successors - see Acts 1:15-26).
>>Also, who is he to change the 10 commandments written by God<<
When did he change the 10 Commandments?
>>and say that priests can forgive sins?!<<
JESUS said, "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained." (John 20:23)

>>>Pope blasphemes?
he claims he is Christ's representative on earth,>>>
No, he doesn't. Christ does! Read Matthew 16.
>>>but that is what the Holy Spirit is!>>>
The Holy Spirit is NOT "Christ's representative on earth."
That would make the Holy Spirit inferior to Christ -- but He is not, because the Holy Spirit is just as much God as Jesus is.
>>>he cannot take place of the Holy Spirit according the the Bible!>>>
When has any Pope ever done that? Answer: never. Read the above.
>>>Also, who is he to change the 10 commandments written by God and say that priests can forgive sins?! >>>
Do the words "when you forgive sins, they are forgiven; when you hold them bound, they are held bound" ring any bells with you?
They should. Jesus spoke these words to the apostles.
Also, read the writings of the very earliest Christian fathers such as Justin Martyr, Origen, and the rest -- all of them speak of the importance of auricular confession of sins to God through a priest.

The Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit...not a representative of Jesus Christ. Remember Trinity theology? Three Divine persons in One God. Co-Equal etc, etc.
All Priests including the Pope, another name for the Bishop of Rome, are merely instuments used by Christ. They function, In Persona Christi, or Christ is operating through the Priest. The man alone has no power or authority.
No where, ever, were any of the 10 Commandments written or re-written giving any man authority to forgive sin. See the previous paragraph above. It is Christ who forgives sin.
You have got your Catholic Theology really screwed up.

You are confusing your scriptural references, son.
The pope is merely Christ's mortal human representative on earth, it is more symbolic than anything else. He does not take the place of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Force and Passion and Continued Inspiration for Christ's church here on earth. We as People of God possess the Holy Spirit in ourselves to do what Christ commanded us. So, in fact we, as people of God, are his representatives on earth, to do his testament, his mission.
As far as the Ten Commandments change goes, you confuse it still. Throughout the Bible there is a continual transformation of the covenant of God and His people. Thus, when God established the Laws of Moses in Deuteronomy he meant it for the people at that time. Then, when Christ came at the New testament, proclaiming the new covenant between God and His people he did not rid the old, but dove deeper in its meaning. Making it a more deeper relationship between, not only God and his people, but between the people themselves. So in the respect of Priestly Confession the priests of today are merely doing as Christ commanded his Aposltes.
As in John 20:22b-23
"'Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained."
Thus establishing priestly confession, this was further explained during the Council of Trent in the 16th Century to mean that clergy have the power to absolve sins.

No, can't say that I do. The Pope doesn't commit blasphemy. He is the Head of the Church on earth and is responsible to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to see that Their directives are carried out. It's no different than the foreman on a construction site who sees to it that the architect's plans are followed correctly.
And you apparently missed the Scripture in which Christ gave the apostles the right to remit or retain sins:
Johs 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
Our priests are conduits of God's grace and forgiveness, but God does the actual forgiving.

Wrong!! Jesus gave the Apostles the ability to forgive sins. Peter was the first Pope, Jesus established a church and placed it into Peter's hands. All Popes are direct sucession of Peter.
God had sent Jesus to forgive sins, but after his resurrection Jesus told the apostles, "‘As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.’ And when he had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained" (John 20:21–23).
Christ told the apostles to follow His example: "As the Father has sent me, even so I send you" (John 20:21). Just as the apostles were to carry Christ’s message to the whole world, so they were to carry his forgiveness: "Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matt. 18:18).

You need to go study the Bible, boy. Jesus Christ gave His disciples the authority and power to forgive sins (John 20: 21-23).
The Pope is the Vicar of Christ, not the representative of Christ.

I was never taught priests can forgive. They were simply a messenger of sorts, a communicator between Earth and God. I'm not saying that exactly right but I am not good with words.

I don't remember reading anything in scripture about Jesus giving you the "Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven" or giving you the power to "Bind and Loose" or saying to you, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven, whose sins you shall retain, they are retained".
The power of the Holy Spirit was again given to the apostles on Pentecost ... the same power they handed down to all their ordained successors .... the men who are the modern day Catholic Bishops and Pope.
That's a pretty complete mandate from God to do all the things you mention, and then some.
When Jesus gives some authority to you, please let me know.
Otherwise, your opinion remains just your opinion, and nothing more.
If you're Catholic, you're a heretic. If you're not, you're just seriously misinformed and misguided.
Please ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten you, and tell him that I sent you.
