(i'm sorry i didn't add any details.. my 1st time here)
anyway, we've been dating for 2 years. he once said he love me, it's just that he seems like he's not ready for a serious relationship. the term is like 'it's not official we're a couple, but it's a priority'. which means, we can see any other guy/girl, but when it comes to me / him, it's a priority. i know it sucks. but i dun feel like loosing him.
i've tried before to leave him, but always he came after me. (sigh)
i'm hurt right now..

I'd feel really lousy, that's for sure. Maybe he's just not ready for that question. Maybe he's not ready for commitment. Maybe he didn't even hear you for some reason.
If your relationship seems OK, you could just let it go for awhile and see what happens.

Either they don't feel the same way, or they have trouble expressing how they feel, or they really don't know how they feel. Could even be a combination of some of those. My father could never say "I love you" to my mother or to me. He did love us nonetheless and showed it in his actions instead. If this person is from a different cultural background, then that could be the reason too. In most cultures people are NOT as outspoken about their feelings as Americans are.

I would feel silly for asking him that question. Hopefully this experience will not be lost on you. You should never ask this question unless you already know the answer. Imagine how he felt. At least he didn't lie to you. ALWAYS let the guy volunteer this on his own.

I would wonder why I'm wasting my time. But then again I wouldn't say those words until I was sure I felt that way. In other words, I wouldn't say it if we were dating less than 6 months.

aaah yes.....this happened to me. I cried silently in the dark, lying next to him. Heartbroken. The relationship was never the same and it didn't last much longer after that. It really sucked.

(Grrr... I really despise these questions where the sum of the question is all in the title and no details are given....)
You feel like crap, but you also realize that he most likely doesn't love you and doesn't want to lie to you to tell you he does. It hurts, but if someone loves you, they'll tell you.

that has happened to me before. I felt really hurt because he acts like he loves me yet he wont exactly say it?? so yeah, whats the point of loving someone who doesnt love you back or who acts as if they have nothing to lose?

Honestly, I'd be crushed and definitely afraid to put myself back in that position again, that's for sure!

I'd think he doesn't return the feelings.
Then I'd try to figure out how I misread him.

it's hurtful, but you shouldn't ask a person that Q. They should just tell you
